ChildLife selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

ChildLife Foundation is a non-profit healthcare organization in Pakistan. Till now, the foundation has saved over three million children’s lives, and now it has announced choosing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to support its third-party hospital management system application.

Foundation mission

ChildLife has significantly increased the application’s use by enhancing its availability and performance at a reduced cost. Further, it helps ChildLife to achieve its mission to offer free-of-cost and quality services to every child in Pakistan.

Operation of the platform

ChildLife operates in above 21 hospitals with ten state-of-the-art and model emergency rooms in all public-teaching hospitals across Baluchistan and Sindh provinces in Pakistan.

Also, it runs approximately 11 telemedicine satellite centers serving far-flung areas, thus, offering services that majorly help save about one million lives yearly.

Since ChildLife’s inception in 2010, it has been expanding its operation exponentially. The foundation needed a scalable, stable, and secure platform to underpin its hospital management information system and support the life-saving operations to continue its growth. Thus, it selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

ChildLife has made substantial savings by deploying Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to help future proof its IT infrastructure instead of upgrading its on-premises solution. Besides, Oracle Cloud will help deliver the scalability and performance required to run demanding workloads and maximize data and applications’ availability. Also, it offers a disaster recovery site.

The contract was awarded to Oracle in August 2020, which went live in October 2020.

He further added, “Knowing that our hospital management system application is running on a reliable, performant and secure cloud-like Oracle Cloud, gives us peace of mind and allows us to ensure that the majority of our funding goes towards delivering an efficient healthcare system.”
