  • The new solution functions within the ESChat ecosystem and can communicate with other SD-7 devices as well as other existing elements of the ESChat ecosystem.
  • It will provide a walkie-talkie experience and has a global reach, too.

ESChat, a leading solution for carrier independent secure broadband Push-to-Talk (PTT) services, announced the availability of an integrated IoT Radio solution in alliance with Siyata Mobile. The new solution functions within the ESChat ecosystem and can communicate with other SD-7 devices as well as other existing elements of the ESChat ecosystem, including Android and iOS smartphones and amp; tablets, Dispatch and CAD Consoles, Land Mobile (LMR) Radios, and Logging Recorder solutions.

A FirstNet Certified solution, ESChat can be used throughout various markets, including public safety, education, utilities, logistics, and transportation. The Siyata SD-7 is a FirstNet approved IoT Radio that uses a Qualcomm chipset and can be used on AT and amp;T and Verizon networks. It is likely to be certified by T-Mobile in the following months.

The new solution will provide a walkie-talkie experience and has a global reach. The SD-7 operates on wireless carriers and WiFi and, along with the ESChat application, provides an easy-to-use PTT (Push to Talk) experience with excellent voice quality. The SD-7 is a rugged device that features a 2-line OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display, SOS key (Save Our Ship), PTT button, volume rockers, and a loudspeaker to operate in the most challenging environments. The device is LTE (Long-Term Evolution), WiFi, and Bluetooth compatible and works on the Android operating system (OS).

Being an Internet of Things (IoT) device, SD-7 requires a minimal data plan for monthly PTT service. Typical PTT users require approximately 0.6GB of data per month.
