Acquisition of Savari by HARMAN

HARMAN International declared the acquisition of substantially all the assets of Savari. HARMAN International is a pioneer in connected car technology, professional audio and lighting solutions, lifestyle audio innovations, and design and analytics. Savari is a leading Silicon Valley-based automotive technology company developing vehicle-to-everything communications (V2X) technology in 5G Edge and automotive devices.

Savari’s software and hardware technology will help enhance HARMAN’s automotive telematics and advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) capabilities. Also, it will help expand the company’s strengths in smart infrastructure solutions, 5G Edge, and multi-access edge computing (MEC).

Smart infrastructure solutions

Savari utilizes V2X sensor solutions and edge-based analytics for automotive and smart infrastructure, comprising Infrastructure-to-Phone, Vehicle-to-Infrastructure, Vehicle-to-Vehicle, and Vehicle-to-Phone for bicyclists and pedestrians. Savari’s software and hardware are radio agnostic, designed to fit any standards-compliant radio.

Employees from Savari will join HARMAN

Employees from Savari will join HARMAN upon closing of the deal and will integrate into HARMAN’s Automotive division, a tier-one automotive supplier for connected vehicle services, connected car, and car audio.

HARMAN International is a completely-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics.
